This is a really cool piece of history—a J.C. Farrell cast iron wall-mount match holder from the late 1800s. It's got that classic Victorian Gothic look with some great ornate detailing along the top and front. You can still clearly see the patent dates from 1869 and 1870 stamped right into the metal. It's definitely got some age to it with a bit of surface wear and patina, but that just adds to the character. It's a solid, heavy piece that would look great in a vintage-style kitchen or near a fireplace.
