The Kodak Instamatic 500 is a high-end 126 cartridge film camera manufactured by Kodak AG in Germany between 1963 and 1966. It features a retractable Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 38mm f/2.8 lens, a Gossen selenium cell exposure meter, and a Compur shutter with speeds up to 1/500th of a second. Unlike many other Instamatic models, it offers manual control over aperture and shutter speed.
