The diablo huma is the character of the Inti Raymi festival, also known as Aya Uma, it is believed that this character drives away the demons of the crops. His name was given in the Spanish conquest to frighten the indigenous people by celebrating parties to commemorate pagan gods, including Pachamama, the sun or the moon. He also retains an important meaning for the indigenous people when thanking mother earth for her crops.
